Old Vauge Reference ... started July 2003

Being the nomadic person that I was, I made a proposition to myself. Either I find a place to settle into or end my very existince. There was a town nearby which a center to towns to go to. So I found a usable town to go to. An awkward experience at first, being that everyone else knew each other I did not. As I was settling in, I noticed an area of the town, a recreational part. An awkward place it was, sight of chaos everywhere. One of the activites was to take a hammer and whack an anvil. He or she couldn't whack it again until someone else did. Kind of pointless. So I used the anvil and gave it one whack. So I left and explored other parts of the town. Another part of town, I observed a place where a question would be answered by anybody. One question that caught my attention was a land based beast versus an aquatic one. I hesited to answer and finally gave my input.
So then I wonder if there is something else. So, when I was really settled in, I left. No warning given. An so it was for two weeks of not ever seeing that place. Thoughts lingered in returning, there ware no intentin of permanently leaving; just the thought of when to come back, or what to say was the concern. I then returned though only a one day stay. Disapointing was that there wasn't that much of a change as I would expect. Now I await to see what is there to expect a week later.

Just Typing 041022

so now let us define that the powers of the Earth are the worst thing to ever do to this world. It is not that what I am thinking of bears any relavence to what it out there in the whole world wide universe, but there is something out there that is meant to be seen in this whole for the entire human race. Now such that anything would do, especially that anything there is to is possible. And so I end this brief essay for doing just that where everything is reserved and now there are losers and there are winner. I just happen to be a winner. The end.

MATH307 Ordinary Differential Equations | 060828

Differential Equation (DE) | any equation involving the derivatives of dependent variables with respect to one or more independent variables

If there is only one independent variable then we have an ordinary differential equation (ODE). Otherwise a partial differential equation (PDE).

Order of a DE | the order of the highest derivative it contains

A DE is said to be linear if the dependent variable and its derivatives occur only linearly (to the first power), otherwise it is non-linear.

(y^i)^2+2sin(xy)=0 1st order ODE nonlinear

3y^iii+2y^i+y=e^x 3rd order ODE linear

3y^iii+2y^i+y=e^y 3rd order ODE nonlinear

d2u/dx2+2d2u/dxdy+du/dx=x^2+y^2 2nd order PDE linear

The most general nth order ODE takes the form

G[x,y,y^i, y^ii, … , y^(n)] = 0 (1)

or in principle we can write as

g^(n)=F(x,y,y^i,…,y^(n)) (2)

Any function y=f(x) that satisfies (1) [or (2)] identically in some interval I is called an explicit function of (1) [or (2)] in I.

An equation g(x,y)=0 that can be solved to give one or more explicit solutions is called an implicit solution.

Show that y=e^2x + 2e^x is an explicit solution of y^ii-3y^i+2y=0

y=e^2x + 2e^x, y^i = 2e^2x+2e^x, y^ii = 4e^2x+2e^x

y^ii-3y^i+2y=4e^2x+2e^x-3

= 0e^2x+0e^x=0 OK

Under Your Spell - Sin City Suspects feat. Lara McAllen

Looking back when it all began
Just wanted you, wanted you
It's not the same I don't understand
What I can do, I can do
Did I think you could change
that you playing a game
I guess I've been a fool to you
Did I want to believe you could be there for me
Honesty is not the kind of thing that you do

You got me under your spell
And I'm starting to tell
Can't deny the way I feel

You got me under your spell
And I'm starting to tell
It's a mixed up game you tell

You got me under your spell
And I'm starting to tell
Can't deny the way I feel

You got me under your spell
And I'm starting to tell
It's a mixed up game you tell

The games we play now I'm not so sure
What I can do, I can do
Just walk away should I close the door
Can stop this now if I wanted to
Did I think you could change
that you playing a game
I guess I've been a fool to you
Did I want to believe you could be there for me
Honesty is not the kind of thing that you do

You got me under your spell
And I'm starting to tell
Can't deny the way I feel

You got me under your spell
And I'm starting to tell
It's a mixed up game you tell

You got me under your spell
And I'm starting to tell
Can't deny the way I feel

You got me under your spell
And I'm starting to tell
It's a mixed up game you tell

DS Lite Ramblings

I got my DS lite early June and was fine with it. I didn't like the original DS to begin with and wasn't interested with the launch games. The style is what drew me on the Lite. That and New Super Mario Bros. I oblivous to the better brightness, etc. compared to the original. The first two days of having the DS lite was moot. I got a Lite and no DS games to play with. I had Final Fantasy 4 filling slot 2 for the meantime. From going to a 1st gen GBA-SP to DS Lite... my eyes. The screen was BRIGHT and CRISP. Then I got NSMB. Great game. Took exactly 1 week to beat the game, another week go reach 100%. After that I got Brain Age. Great DS game. I am now proficient with basic math problems. Helpful for my math major. Time lapse game is aggravating.

Then the DS lite hardware acted funny. After 40 hours of NSMB, the Y+B buttons messed with the power of the DS Lite. Press Y+B and instant off. This never happened with the GBA-SP with A+B on Super Mario Advance 4. Then I called Nintendo and put the 12 month warranty into use on my not so 1 month old DS Lite. Since I was practically done with NSMB before the problem occured and since Brain Age is the only other DS game that only uses the stylus as input, the Y+B problem isn't problematic. I use Y+B now to shut off the DS quicker rather than flicking the side power flicker.

Breathe - One More Angel

Breathe - One More Angel

I've never felt this way
About anyone before
My heart is racing
I need you more and more

Need your smile
Need your face
Need your touch on my skin
I don't want this to end
I believe we can be
Something more than a dream
Forever you and me

Breathe
Let me sink inside your soul
Trust me
We'll be here for you

Breathe
Let me sink inside your soul
Trust me
We'll be here for you

Breathe
Oh come on and breathe

Let me sink inside your soul

When we're together
Magic never ends
You mesmerize my mind
Time and time again
It's the way
That you move
That puts me in the mood
I want to be by your side
See your smile
Hear your voice
Feel your touch on my skin
I don't want this to end

Breathe
Let me sink inside your soul
Trust me
We'll be here for you

Narcotic Thrust - Waiting For You

Do you ever cry like something's gone
Do you ever walk these streets alone
Do you ever ache like I do
I need to feel the music of your soul
Are you out there real love?

I only want to find you
And be surrounded
By you
Wait for your light to
Shine through
I'm waiting for you
I'm waiting for you

Did you ever wish for somebody
Somebody to break the mystery
Did you ever hope in the darkness
I need to feel the music of your soul
Are you out there real love?

I only want to find you
And be surrounded
By you
Wait for your light to
Shine through
I'm waiting for you

I only want to find you
And be surrounded
By you
Wait for your light to
Shine through
I'm waiting for you
I'm waiting for you

Lost Dog Found

The youngest dog came out of nowhere. The middle dog was angry but relieved to see his brother. They both went to meet up with their big brother.

Observations in Driving 10

When the HOV left lane is open to all traffic on left land on peak hours and the barrier separated HOV lanes are open, it isn't necessary to to go on it to beat the other cars on the other lanes. Chances are there's an accident on the barrier separated HOV lanes. In this area, there's one enterance and one exit on the ends of the HOV road. When you are stuck in there, there is no getting out (perhaps driving out of the "emergency vehicles only" exit, but that's too risky).

Break Down - Daiki Kasho & Alan Brey

Sunny sky you know you gonna leave town
Now the days where you gonna let it shine now
[Sto me feathers] something's gonna break you down
Take a walk and let the [rewash da motor head]

Say a friend, "jump into the blue sky"
Never knowing you aint to see a another day
Give and take us what they always see now
Give me back all my time that you have wasted

You came to me
To be free
To be you

So now you should see
What's right in front of you
What's right in front of me

Take me back cause you know you're gonna make it
Walk [along] the streets [so long we've play ] before
Maybe been hiding the things you onced believed in
Nothing changes nothing came it all the [jutsu down]
Another day and there's something's gonna break down
Far away it's good to be when it's going down
All you see is what you want to mirror
Don't be shy don't never fight don't ever let me down

You are to me
What I dream you to be
So now you should see
What's right in front of you
What's right in front of me

what's right in front of me

Somebody accuse me

what's right in front of me

Another day and there's something's gonna break down
Far away it's good to be when it's going down
All you see is what you want to mirror
Don't be shy don't never fight don't ever let me down

All alone in the world is what it seems like
Leaving town is the only way I see out
Someone knew and you know you gonna be though
Stake your claim cause you know it's gonna be rough
Say a friend, "jump into the deep end"
Leave behind all the things you once believed in
Give and take us what they always say now
Don't be shy don't never fight don't never let me down

You came to me
To be free
To be you

So now you should see
What's right in front of you
What's right in front of me

You are to me
What I dream
You to be

What's right in front of you
Whats right in front of me

You are to me

Bear with Me

Borrowed from my defunct Xanga site
Black Bear yelled in Little Klondike's ear and called him Iceberg. Little Klondike pushed Black Bear off the roof. Paws pushed Little Klondike off the roof. Black Bear went back up the roof and spilled honey on the roof. Klondike went off the roof and the brown bears had a party on the roof while the polar bears did nothing.

Now the continuation

Though the brown bears had a good time on the roof, they did not bother to clean up the mess they have made. Eventually ants and other insects started to swarm all over the roof. The brown bears ignored it. Fed up, the polar bears kicked the brown bears off the roof. The brown dog mopped the roof. Eventually the brown bears apologized and went up on the roof with the polar bears. Black Bear was on the ground because there was no more room left to sit. Poor Black Bear.

RAMblings

RAM usage sample: 453 MB
The extra RAM won't be appriciated until heavy multitasking has occured
or when a game is loaded or when Firefox is has been running nonstop
SimCity 4 stutters at 512 MB (only when playing very large and complex cities) It would push the overall usage up to 500 MB
after the boost to 768 MB, performance suffers but not as bad as I had with 512. The overall usage ranged from 600 to 700.
I still need that gig.

Cut and pasted directly off a saved text file in notepad. Continually typing, not stopping to think what I just did.

scrap104 & scrapstyle

Both usernames are interchanable. scrap104 and scraptyle both exist. Both exist on AIM though 104 is used. Both are used in Gmail though 104 is used. -style is used on digg. 104 is pretty much by default and -style is used at my discretion. 104 and style suffixes have arbitrary origins. scrap103 sounds awful but scrap104 seems to be ok. 104 can be pronounces in a variety of ways though -style is well... style. Scrapalist is derived from something, however. Take Federal and alist and you get the Federalist papers. Likewise, take Scrap and alist and scrapalist is formed. Scrapstyle... the if and if only if of scrap104. Scrapstyle this and scrapstyle that. I don't know how scrapstyle styles with scrap104. Hum. How scraptastic is that? Whyever.

Observations in Driving 9

On the highway on the 3rd leftmost lane at 70 MPH, you're behind me. You speed up dodging all other cars and racing away from me. I assume you're in a hurry or just an asshole driver. I can now barely see you on the horizon. What I see next are blicking blue lights. I pass by and see you on the shoulder pulled over by a red Crown Victoria. I laugh.

You just made my morning commute so happy.

Whigfield - Lover

Take me away...
Take me away...

Cause you show a little mercy now
For this crazy heart of mine
Cause my lips are getting fester now
For a man I need to find

And baby now you are
My only forever
Let's get it together
Cause baby now you are
I think you're an angel

I just wanna be your lover
Your lover
Oh yeah
I just wanna be your lover
Discover
Your love

Take me away... Take me away...

If you move your body close to me
You can warm me up inside
You're the one I've seen all my dreams
And I want you by my side

And baby now you are
My only forever
Let's get it together
Cause baby now you are
I think you're an angel

I just wanna be your lover
I just wanna be your lover
I just wanna be your lover
Your lover
Oh yeah
I just wanna be your lover
Your lover
Your lover

(ah ah ah ah)
Discover your love (ah ah ah ah)
Be your lover (ah ah ah ah)
Discover your love

Be your lover (ah ah ah ah)
Discover your love (ah ah ah ah)
Yeah (ah ah ah ah)
Discover your love

I just want to be your lover

Take me away...
Take me away...
I just wanna be your lover
Your lover
Take me away...
Be your lover
Your lover
Your lover

Wireless Notebook Laser Mouse 6000

I shall call him... WnLM6K. The mini-me of WLM6K. It's great to have the wireless reciver attach to the mouse when not in use. The buttons are hard and stiff to click for a reason, that is the mouse will get smushed with all the other crap I stuff in my laptop bag. The wheel of my Intellimouse Explorer get smushed and is hard to scroll which made the mouse impractical to use when I bring my laptop around. The wheel on the WnLM6K is "slippery." There's absolutely no friction and you can accidently scroll if your arm gets in the way of the mouse. The laser tracking is fine... just got used to WLM6K's laser tracking.

One problem is the mouse's magnify button is my "big" mouse's small thumb button which equates to FORWARD in the browser. Of course I could set the magnify button to BACK, but when I use the big mouse again and when I want to go FORWARD, I actually go BACK so I have change the intellipoint settings again. It's annoying, yes, perhaps a macro might make things easier.

The mouse is not practical for everyday use, more situated for take your laptop to school, work, travel.

My Wireless Notebook Laser Mouse 6000 looks cute together with my Wireless Laser Mouse 6000 though I get the notebook mouse in the laptop bag when not in use.

Observations in Driving 8

You may cut me off as long as the turn signal is used.
And the turn signal corresponds with the direction intened.
And the turn signal is activated before going into the intended direction.
And that you not brake to 0 mph once you cut me off.
And that you drive in a speed higher than the posted speed limit.

Test Taking

One thing I seem to notice this semester is my test taking habits. I'm a 95% lefty which means I'm right brained and seems to be connected to randomness. I start and work on question 1, glance at question 2, work on the last question, work backwards and fowards, up and down the test in nonsequential order. Even on scantron or SAT tests I work backwards. Neat huh. One best test strategy I discovered is to use ALL of the test time alloted. For the past 3 test, I was literally the last person finished or close to that. Sometimes overtime will be forced and I take full advantage of that. For Calc, I was the LAST person to turn in the test. My result: 99. In another class, 98. In another 89, but that was because I was taking 2 tests on the same day and I had to set my priorities.

On a totally unrelated note, I get less pencil mudges on my finger with a 0.5 mm mechanical pencil with the grippy thing and clicky thing on the side and the GOOD white eraser. Those bic 0.7 mm pencils gave me bad smudges on top of a crappy eraser.

Wireless Laser Mouse 6000

I've been using this mouse for about a week now. My previous mouse was an Intellimouse Explorer 4.0. The weight is heavy compared to older mouse due to its batteries. The laser sensor is off-center to the right, so moving it took some getting used to. Since I had 2 NiMH batteries, I don't have to replace AA batteries repeatedly.

Apostrophes and Plurals

from http://englishplus.com/news/news1201.htm

When are apostrophes used to make words plural?

The simple answer is this: virtually never.

I only add one in when it is absolutely necessary. Ex: do's and don'ts. Otherwise it would look like dos and don'ts... dos as in disk operating system or denial of service dos.

Fun with plurals.

I have A's and B's on my report card.

Missing Gigabytes

Ever wondered why your actual hard drive capacity is lower than it should be?

To find out how much GB you 'lost', multiply the advertised size times .0686
example: 60 GB * .0686 = 4.166 which is the space that is missing

Take that number and subtract that from 60. So a real 60 GB drive is actually 55.884 GB.

---
What their definition of a GB is: 1,000,000,000 bytes
What GB should be: 1024 MB
